US Doctors Offer Innovative Weight-Loss Drug

Since long, obesity has remained one of the major issues of concern for worldwide health experts but when it comes to US, the fatness issue has some serious conations attached to it.

Numerous studies offered many alternates related to the weight-loss debate. These studies also highlighted the fact that just because of these fatness problems, the country suffered serious health issues.

This time, the US Doctors have declared that they have finally discovered a new drug which would certainly lead to weight-loss without following any strict dieting or exercise schedules.

The researchers also affirmed the fact that after conducting their study trails in animal testing, the drug showed some promising results against the increased weight-loss concern. Researchers at MD Anderson Cancer Center, based in Houston, fed the flabby monkeys with a protein compound known as a drug Adipotide which was aimed at killing fat cells.

Following 28 days of daily injections, the researchers found that the majority of targeted monkeys lost an average of 11% of their body weight.

In the meantime, lead researcher Dr. Wadih Arap, along with his wife Dr. Renata Pasqualini who also helped in these weight-loss trails, asserted that the study findings are unbelievably exciting, as the drug has proved that the weight-loss dream could now come true in slow motion.

Sharing his views, one of the study researchers, Kristin Barnhart said “Within a few weeks of administering the drug it became clear to us that the efficacy we had seen in rodents was being transplanted to monkeys”.

On the other hand, researchers also said that though the results were hopeful, they cannot claim that the drug would not be an enduring weight-loss solution for obese people.
