Talking Plate: New Weapon to Fight Obesity

Many fights against obesity are ongoing today because the illness is troubling a lot of people worldwide. The latest introduced weapon in the war against obesity is the new talking plate.

Yes, experts believe that slow eating helps people in eating less thus maintaining same as the focus point the researchers are suggesting that the overweight families must be given nagging plates to change their eating habits and help them fight their obesity.

The above suggestions are made depending upon the findings of the previous study of device, which said that the children have lost weight by cutting portion sizes, confirmed the device called mandometer.

Mr. Per Sodersen has contributed a good brain in devising the £1,500 plate. He said in his statement that “Telling an obese person to diet will not work because dieting slows down the metabolism in preparation for starvation. More important is the speed you eat and to recognise when you’re full.”

The doctors are well confident that the talking plate would help them good in their battle to beat obesity as the plate never tells people to bolt their food.

The researchers have cleared in their statements that with the help of the device Mandometer, they are able to monitor the amount of food that leaves the plate thereby timely suggesting the eater about his speed to eat and the healthiness of the food with the help of red and blue lines on the screen. In case, the speed of the eater exceeds the plate’s appropriate speed, it tells users by gobbling: ‘Please eat more slowly.’

The £1,500 Swedish device is slowly capturing the attention of many. Also the device will be soon serving NHS in its initiative to help hundreds of obese families lose weight and fight their obesity.
