Mumbai had witnessed a huge gathering of more than 600 gamers at the premises of the Bandra-Kurla Complex under the spell of GeForce LAN 6. Renowned graphic chips manufacturer NVIDIA credits to organize the tournament every year since its launch, around six years back. The Chief Executive Officer and the President of NVIDIA, Jen-Hsun Huang, had opened the event.
It was the very first incident where the manufacturer has organized the event outside the United States. Besides India, there were several gamers from a number of countries such as Malaysia, Singapore and Sri Lanka.
The presence of one of the most popular star actor, Shah Rukh Khan had added spark to the event. The star had greeted gathered gamers.
On the other hand, the Vice-President of product marketing, Ujesh Desai, said: “GeForce LAN was started six years ago and we wanted to do something special for gamers. Our main focus as a company has been on the graphic processing unit (GPU)”. In addition, Ujesh Desai has marked India as one of the biggest growing markets. Further, he claimed that the organization is enthusiastic to work in close with proficient gamers and therefore selected India.
Simultaneously, its Managing Director for South Asia, Vishal Dhupar, said that in India NVIDIA aims to gain market shares from major players such as Intel and Qualcomm. Further, he has anticipated good digital growth in India because of 150-160 million youngsters aged between 25 and 27, who are likely to spend generously to avail best products.
