After the launch of Motorola XOOM tablet, the Indian markets were jam-packed with these brand new tables, featuring brand-new version of Android, codenamed Honeycomb.
Some sources also claimed that the rapid increase in the customer’s demand, regarding the new version, till date, it successfully defeated the other tough competitors.
For the users, the new version offered all new multi-tasking features such as capability to attach Bluetooth with the keyboards, re-sizing widgets and right to use to microSD card and with the assistance of 32GB microSD card, the previous memory storage would be extended up to 64GB.
On the success of new tablet, Sanjay Jha, Motorola’s Chief Executive officer, quoted, "We now recognize where the price points are. For the fourth quarter we'll launch very good, new tablets and we'll have a good quarter".
However, the company's Q2 results declared that due to the increased rates, from $499 to $799 , from past three months, the Company was able to sale only 440,000 Xoom tablets.
On the other hand, to again boost up the sales among the customers, the Company announced that they have reduced certain prices such as Motorola Xoom WiFi, which was launched with the price tag of $600, and was reduced to $500. Similarly, the 3G model was also reduced to the same cut but now it too offered 2 years guarantee.
