The Sun is a bigger enemy of men than compared to women, and simple reason of it is that men remains out in the sun for longer time and they do not apply sunscreen as frequently as women do.

For this reason, men are increasingly being diagnosed with skin cancer named as melanoma cancer and are also dying at faster rate. The rise is evident from the findings of Cancer Research UK which declared that in 1970s, 400 people lost their lives while in 2008 1100 people lost their lives.

To reach up to conclusions, 2000 people were questioned, and it was revealed that only 47% of the men applied sunscreens on their body and that too with SPF of 15 whereas women were found to be more conscious and they stood at 66%. Men's skin is hard than that of women, therefore, they need to apply sunscreen with higher SPF value.

Increased percentage does not mean that sizzling sun would have spared them, as according to the polls almost 950 women lost their lives in recent polls in comparison to 500, who died in 70s polls.

Other revelations that came forth was that men are careless and do not mind to step out in the sun without protecting their skin with sunscreen while women are conscious about this fact.
