According to reports, the Speaker of Lok Sabha, Meira Kumar, has not taken any decision regarding the report on 2G by the Public Accounts Committee.
The 2G spectrum allocation scandal was presented to her by the Chairman of PAC, Murli Manohar Joshi on the 30th of April.
In a press release, the speaker, Kumar stated that she had reconstituted the PAC since the 1st of May and Mr. Joshi will continue as the Chairman from this year, starting from the 1st of May.
Also, the PAC in the release submitted and finalized 13 reports on different topics, which had Telecom and 2G missing, though they were searched for in the Lok Sabha website.
The reports consisted of topics on Special Economic Zones, the National Rural Health Mission, accelerated irrigation projects and assistance to States for developing export infrastructure
In the newly constituted PAC, there are 22 members, including the Chairman, 15 members from the Lok Sabha and 7 from the Rajya Sabha.
However, the BJP has been said to have discussed some details of the report by PAC and has decided to fully back the stand taken by Mr. Joshi.
