Reports suggest that males should consume at least 6 cups of coffee everyday in order to decrease the risk of having a prostate cancer in the later part of their life. The researchers have said that people who do not consume coffee have a 60% chance of having an acute prostate cancer which can sometimes spread to the bone. These conclusions were given by the scientists from the Harvard School of Public Health.
These findings were published in the National Cancer Institute Journal. In this study, the authors gave positive views of coffee consumption and also mentioned that coffee has a high impact on the risk of cancer. Coffee eliminates maximum risk of having a prostate cancer in the later part of life.
According to statistical figures, more than 16 million men in the world are suffering from prostate cancer and this figure is increasing. This has become very frequent that men get diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Kathryn Wilson, lead author, said: “At present we lack an understanding of risk factors that can be changed or controlled to lower the risk of lethal prostate cancer. If our findings are validated, coffee could represent one modifiable factor that may lower the risk of developing the most harmful form of prostate cancer”.
