Apple has requested to issue an injunction for Samsung, on four patent cases. Apple has gone to the US court against Samsung and the things between the two companies have grown worse. The company has asked for an early trial schedule from the court in order to resolve it as soon as possible.
Since April, the two companies are struggling against each other in the legal battle. Earlier, Apple had sued Samsung in a California federal court, claiming that Samsung copies the Apple products. Samsung had also responded by its own lawsuit in the US and overseas.
Apple stated that a preliminary injunction is required to safeguard the company’s right and to protect the people’s interest. The Apple stated in the filing, "Because Apple has demonstrated a likelihood of success on its claims, the public interest would be served by prohibiting Samsung from infringing Apple's patents".
According to Apple, for time being this injunction is against four gadgets of Samsung, as the upcoming devices, Galaxy S 2 phone and Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablet have not been considered by the Apple. The company has requested the court to go for the trials before February 2012.
On the other hand, Samsung spokesman Kim Titus stated that Samsung will safeguard and will be defending itself, as the company provides the customers their own innovative product.
