After Twitter and Facebook, it seems that the technology giant Apple has jumped into this horde of social networking. The expert team has picked a weak link in the existing system of networking where users have to communicate first with other users to see if their tastes match or not.
Apparently, some close sources have confirmed that Apple has already filed for a new patent for an application to make users of the iPhone connect with others having the same interests. The filed application mentioned, "Common interests and experiences of two or more users located close to each other can be identified from content, including automatically created usage data of mobile devices. Usage data of a mobile device can be created based on activities performed on the mobile device (e. g., songs downloaded), a trajectory of the mobile device (e. g., places traveled), or other public data available from the mobile device (e. g., pictures shared)”.
Under this new application, a questionnaire will be filed by an iPhone user and then that would be matched with the users of the huge database keeping interests in terms of places, song download etc in consideration.
Though Apple had tried many a times to get a patent for its applications working on the same line, probably this time it has been able to develop a more refined system.
