Ranbaxy Laboratories has reported Rs 454 crore loss for quarter ending...
World is an ominous oyster for Androids. It paves the tech waves and saves the raves.
The all new Android 3.2 Gingerbread is on the shelves, and as anticipated, it has inspired Acer to launch its Iconia A100 Honeycomb tablet which was due to launch since July.
It’s not a new tablet, but instead, it’s a new kind of tablet. This is very much the same as the 10inch Iconia Tab A500 with a few fine tuned features.
But, the dynamite is the eagerly awaited ‘Honeycomb’ on the show. The A100 tab will be the first 7inch tab featuring Honeycomb on board.
Though Acer has not yet disclosed the price for the device, it is likely to be pegged around $350.
The Iconia A100 is a 7-inch Android tablet powered by the same processor as the 10-inch Iconia A500. It supports an ingenious 7inch LCD capacitive display (1024×600 pixels), 512MB RAM, Android 3.2 and 1GHz processor.
While the front sniper has strength of 2mp, the rear shooter reads 5mp.
On top of that, it offers an elephantine internal storage of 16GB/32GB, up to 32GB internal memory with micro-SD card slots.
Other attention seeking features include 1080p HD video playback capability, mini-USB and full-sized USB port, HDMI port, Dolby Mobile sound, Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth.
Though this launch appears unambiguous to the US market, the device is expected to arrive in India by the end of the August.
That sounds cool! Isn’t it? So, let’s just keep our fingers crossed until it hits the Indian market.
