OnLive Launches iOS and Android Gaming Apps

There’s good news for all you gamers out there as the online gaming world will soon witness a whale of revolution. As per reports, OnLive is all in readiness to launch its ultra-innovative online gaming platform to Android and iOS devices with the release various new apps for both the said platforms.

The OnLive service is highly popular for providing console titles and for making them playable on the internet by the means of renting or buying various fascinating titles. It was zestfully launched in September all over the United Kingdom.

The new apps may well be epochal as they carry complete editions of games such as L. A. Noire and Assassins Creed Revelations to the iPad and iPhone. In addition, it is reported that the apps will even be supported by the majority of smartphones and Android tablets.

Due the preliminary phase of launch, 25 games, counting the aforementioned versions, have been modified for use on a wide variety of touchscreen gadgets.

In the meantime, the entire portfolio of 200 games will be modified so as to make them playable by the means of a fresh Universal OnLive Wireless Controller, which will be most probably pegged at around £39.99

All of the modified games will be supporting 3G and Wi-Fi, based on the internet speed.

Though the apps are freebies and anyone can download them with ease, members can even think about paying a monthly subscription fee for a variety of titles. Also, they can even buy passes for unlimited play and can even rent games for a number of days.

While expressing his opinion in this regard, the Founder and CEO of OnLive, Steve Perlman said: “Today marks a major milestone: OnLive is now delivering the latest, console-class, top-tier games – literally to your fingertips – on tablets and phones for instant, on-demand play anywhere, anytime”.
